mix inside the meal and I wasn't quite sure what we were going to do with that, but decided to start a new
family tradition and we will be making a birthday cake for Jesus and tonight singing "Happy Birthday" to Jesus.
Might get a picture posted once it is done, but for the mean time just trust me I am not a huge or great baker, so it may not be that pretty to take a picture of. And yes, I am going to let them have a piece tonight before baths, new jammies and bedtime ~ my hope is that I won't be too exhausted that we can all climb in our bed and read the Christmas story in the Bible to the littles as well.
After all I want the guys to understand that Christmas is the season of giving and what the true reason behind Christmas is...it took me a while to realize this myself. I mean I knew it, but I wanted to make sure these guys had presents to open and all...and as the year played out we realized that more than likely they weren't...and while we were okay with it, it still hurt to realize it, because my oldest is in school and I know what they would all talk about once they came back from break...but God put some amazing people in our life who played Santa for our children and they will have gifts to open, but I still want them to realize there is so much more to Christmas than presents, because there may not always be presents and yet we should still be in the spirit of giving, love, joy and peace towards others no matter what happens.
I found this poem on another page (actually several) and decided I wanted to share it here as well...it is so sweet and I know it will touch your heart just as it has mine.
